September's Scrap-a-Palooza was another huge success!
Thanks so much to all of you who attended the recent Scrap-a-Palooza mega-crop at Remington's. We had a great time, and judging by the smiles and laughter all day long, so did you! It is our pleasure to bring such a fun event to the scrapbookers of Missouri, as well as people from other states (like Louisiana, Nevada, Illinois, Nebraska, Arkansas, Kansas, and more) who traveled here just for this event! Here's a photo essay of the day. (It's in reverse order of the way I had planned! I'll have to get used to the new way that Blogger is uploading pics.)

The Scrapbook Generation gang, above...Karin, Stacey, Allison, and me. We really appreciate your business, and all the compliments about this unique event.

The Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker team is a huge help at Palooza. Joining us are Katrina Hunt (Nikki's local Design Team leader) and Nikki Sivils. Not shown, Laura Parks, Design Team member.

We also couldn't put on this event without Jeremy Atchley, Stacey's husband. He loads up the trailer, sets up the displays, sets up the computers, checks people out all day long, then loads everything up again. And never complains!

I had such a great time! I was able to spend part of the day scrapbooking with "old" friends Hazel, Judy, and Debbie.

Twenty-five people were winners in our treasure chest drawings, and five of those were BIG winners! They always say "do I get everything that's in here?" Yes, you do!

Nikki Sivils, left, was generous with door prizes, and Chris Louzader does a superb job of organizing the set-up of the event, serving as announcer, and making everyone feel so welcome.

We had almost twice as many new papers collections (82!) than we usually have at Palooza. It was a shopping paradise for scrapbookers!

As you can see, Palooza is a huge, well-attended event. We'll have three more in 2011 -- January, June, and September.

And the shopping didn't end at paper collections. We had a huge selection of other products on hand.

Allison Davis taught three popular layout classes at the event, when she wasn't doing big-screen demos.

Nikki Sivils, Katrina Hunt, and Laura Parks teach free mini-classes in what I called the "mini-class hut."
Nikki Sivils Design Team member Laura Parks works with scrapbookers attending one of the free-mini-classes.

For the first time at Palooza, card expert Stacey Atchley taught a cardmaking class. She will be back on the schedule in January!

Lots of scrapbookers, hard at work creating layouts, cards, and mini-books to record special memories.

The chocolate fountain is always a huge hit at Scrap-a-Palooza, and the afternoon sandwiches from Jimmy John's really hit the spot. Lunch and dinner from Dining by Design were also delicious.

Allison Davis did three big-screen demonstrations, and also taught a free 12x12 layout class for everyone, using materials we donated for the event.

The crowd around the Nikki Sivils, Scrapbooker free mini-classes gathered each time without having to be told. They were eager to get started!

Again, thanks to all who attended this fun event. We'll see you again in January!
